150-170, part deux

Update: as of today, we have 225 beers finished (I know, we've been bad about logging.) We've also got 419 beers acquired.

Let's get back to the GIBF log. As it was 2 months ago, I will only be inserting my notes (my memory of that day has long left me).

Brooklyn Winter Ale
Matt and retha say it's "disgusting" and it makes Retha twitch. This makes me sad, as I have a bottle of this sitting around and I really don't want to drink it now. 1.75 steins.

Trinity Octoberfest
Really fruity for a marzen. a bitt bitter too. Wes says, "slight paint solvent taste". ew. 2.5

Amherst Chocolate Porter
Matt and Retha think it's watery. Retha is really disappointed that they call this a porter. Matt tastes cocoa beans, but NOT chocolate. (Matt's weird sometimes)

Cambridge House Brew Pub Roggenbier
Smells and tastes like a dunkel. Odd tastes. Unanimous 1.5

Hooker Irish Red
Matt - "Tastes like a better Killian's" ( I guess that means true to style). Wes and Matt thing it's malty. Retha thinks it's hoppy. Cool. 3.5

Gardner Alehouse Bavarian Breakfast
(Smells like newly opened gummy bears)
Tastes like every grain. ever. Slightly roasted. A very warming beer - Retha would like to drink this in the winter. 3.5

Sam Adams Cherry Wheat
Stronag cherry smell. great beer. 4.75 (THAT'S RIGHT. 4.75. DEAL WITH IT!)

Pennichuck Brewing - The big O
No smell, really. Kinda thina and non-descript. 2.0

Stone Coast Brewing Sunday River Lager
Not much smell at all. Grainy, nothing too special. kinda bitter. 2.5

Virgin Islands Pale Ale
Old man told me that I was tall.
He winked at retha while handing her beer ("Here 'ya go!")
Peachy pale - very good. Matt likes it too! 3.5

Union Station Coffee milk stout.
almost no head (I won't make that joke again)
tastes like coffee (duh!), but more like coffee than beer (weird!). 4.5!

Bostin Beer works centennial alt
a very bitter alt, smells true to style. 3

Lake Placid Ubu Ale
Kinda bock-y, mild hoppy aftertaste. 3.25

Watch City Brewing company Titan Ale
Not much smell, strong hop taste
tastes like a stout mixed with an IPA. 2.5

Long trail blackberry wheat
can definitely smell blackberries and wheat. Deceiving smell, not much taste. watery.
should be served with blackberries. 2.0

that's it.

next post will hopefully include video!
